Why weigh the waste?

Every year in the United States we generate more than 14 million tons of food waste-much of it discarded directly from out plates. The Natural Resources Defense Council reports that on average, diners leave 17 percent of meals uneaten.

Bon Appetit @ SMU is teaming up with the Sustainability Club to weigh the waste at Saint Gertrude’s Café, April 23 through April 26th to raise awareness and provide you with ways on how you can help tip the scales.
